Apart from the feline Chanel campaign I have to set myself now: my favorite images from the current campaign of the autumn/winter collections 2011 are from Marc Jacobs! Rather than set to top models, he enlisted the British acting icon Helena Bonham-Carter for its main line and for his younger label Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty and talented Elle Fanning. Both were photographed by Jurgen teller and placed according to their qualities and characteristics quite different in scene.
Elle is not only in Hollywoood high in the course: she Frolics in editorials and poses for glossy magazines and designers, where we find the result sometimes very contradictory and worthy of discussion. It is a narrow ridge, to style a thirteen-, so that it acts like an involuntary Lolita, nor as a clad child. I find the campaign so successful, because she are not denied this ambiguity and manages to show Elle as a teenager: adult-looking eyes and a body that is slowly adopted by his childishness.
Discreet make-up and in clothes a bit too big hanging her pubescent body, she reminds me a bit of our small Lieblingsjane Tavi Gevinson. The details of the campaign, like thick socks in shoes or a heart sunglasses, make it that Elle works, when she would have combined parts from the wardrobe of her mother with her own favorite pieces. That slight overexposure and the setting give the impression that she at home or in the garden with the self-timer has photographed are – just like almost all bloggers of the world show their outfits. Now maybe as to set or unimaginative might feel: I find it fitting to the model and also on the draft: romantic and hippieesk the wide trousers and the charming dress with Hirschprint that I would love to have given I liked especially.
Helena Bonham-Carter is considered one of the best actress ever and as Dixie anyway. At ghosts pictures of her by the gazettes, which then Helena’s wild combinations blaspheme or pack them to awards ceremonies on the worst-dressed lists. Since I can only laugh and Helena determined also, because it shows that allowed is what I like. Fashion is not only business and trend dependency, but can be also gimmick and means of expression. Marc Jacobs campaign to Helena’s craziness cliché thanking has taken up and exaggerate to your heart’s content: she pulls ducks snoots, bites in bag handles and lolls spun and twisted in front of the lens. She can hang out the diva in the harsh light and plays the clown with laughing mask before his face. This shows not only the versatility and the humor of the mannequins, but also fits to the polka dot dresses that appear gloves and round hat and look Helena despite all quirkiness, not clad in combination with Daisy duck paragraphs,.
Which do you like better: Elle in Wonderland or Helena as verückte Hat wearer?
